Hi Mike and riders,
You are awesome!! The end is in sight. I wish we could be at the finish to give you a big hug and some candy, and soda, and juice and champagne and flowers and other good things. But we give you our thanks for your courageous efforts. Will keep you in our thoughts and prayers the next couple of days.

Fantastic accomplishment, absolutely inspirational, and may the wind be at your back for the home stretch. I was one of two gisters that rode with Team Sarcoma in VT. Our 35-40 mile days are just your warm up session.

The final day - have as much as fun as possible (but please be careful with the increased traffic into SF!) Happy riding to you, and may this journey be one you'll always remember fondly.

-Congratulations you guys! I am in awe of you all. I wanted to get over to the coast to cheer you on, but, unfortunately I lifted one thing to many and my back is severely protesting. (bed rest, ice, meds, no driving in the tiny sports car for a few more days)

Good job to all of you!

I can now officially speak from experience - I am so impressed by what you guys are doing, that it is incredible. Thanks so much for riding for such a great cause. It is a wonderful sense of "can-do" in our community of patients, families, investigators, physicians, nurses, companies, and everyone else in all walks of life with whom GIST rubs elbows.

You are inspiring us all to do ever more. Thanks for doing what you are doing!

With very best personal regards,

Been thinking about how you were doing since you started. Missed not being able to make it to the activities in Portland and meet all of you (Grandson is really a cutie).

Mike and Team PTMR,
We are so glad to hear OHSU had a wonderful send off for you. I'm sorry we couldn't be there to meet everyone. The Northwest is putting on its best weather just for your ride. Thanks for doing this for OHSU and GIST. You guys ROCK! IRON men and girls each and all!!!

Mike and the Johnson family left Bremerton just after 7:30 a.m. this morning. Today they are scheduled to ride 100 miles to Centralia, WA. Mike said it should take them about 8 hrs. They all looked good and were anxious to get under way. They will be in our thoughts and prayers for the next 10 days. Thanks to each of them and we hope that many, many $$ are raised for GIST research.

To all the riders and helpers on this ride, my sincere thanks for all your hard work and training to raise awareness and funds for GIST research! I know this has been a HUGE effort for all of you to coordinate and train for this event. Mike, you are to be highly commended for bringing this idea to a reality- I know it was a lot of hard work.

My best wishes for a successful, safe and fun ride! We can't wait to hear all the stories and see pictures!

It is truly amazing that the GIST internet community can mobilize and join forces all over the US and world for all these fundraisers and awareness compaigns that are going on this summer! Together, we can all work to make a difference in our fight.

Thanks to all !
