GIST Support International listserv "join" page
Follow these simple instructions to become a member of our group of over 1800 subscribers worldwide. Our members communicate through our listserv to support each other and exchange treatment information and tips about living with GIST cancer. We are the largest GIST support group in the world, offering a caring community to all those affected by gastrointestinal stromal tumor.
To join the list
Click this link and then type in your email address and name.
Accept the default subscription option (regular) or choose an alternative.
- “Regular” means you receive messages throughout the day as they are posted. This option will deliver many messages per day to your box. To avoid lots of mail you can choose either of the other alternatives shown next (Digest or No Mail).
- “Digest” means you receive a single post per day containing a compilation of all the messages posted during the preceding 24 hours.
- "No Mail" option: If you do not want to receive any mail at all, you can still read all the daily posts on the Archives page and send posts to the list if you choose “mail delivery disabled temporarily [NOMAIL]” under the bottom category “Miscellaneous.” For instructions on this method link here.
Then press the ‘Join GISTSUPPORT’ button at the bottom left.
Congratulations! You are now a member of GIST Support International! An email will be sent to your address confirming your registration. Once you follow the instructions on that email, you will be able to receive and send email to the group. This may take a couple of hours.
Sending mail to the list
To send a message to all the people currently subscribed to the list, just send mail to this address:
gistsupport@community.lsoft.com
Save this address in your e-mail address book. This is called "sending mail to the list" because you send mail to a single address and LISTSERV sends copies to all the people who have subscribed. This address is also called the "list address."
Other Options
You can change your subscription options at any time. For instructions go to Change listserv options.
You can search the archives (record of current and past posts) as described under Search the Archives.
You can also use Archives to read the daily mail and post to the list from any computer as described under Read & Send Mail Using Archives.
