GIST Cancer Awareness Foundation  announces fundraising success for GIST! 

From GIST Cancer Awareness Foundation:   The second annual Trucking for Sarcoma event was held during the week of July 31st. Our transportation partner, Marine Transport of Mountainside, New Jersey had 123 of their drivers involved and 50 administrative people from the various dispatch centers.

The drivers covered 184,000 miles of driving with placards on their trucks with our website and handed out brochures about GIST at all their delivery appointments throughout the week.

The Marine Transport drivers covered points in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, Delaware, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Pennsylvannia, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Michigan.

The 173 employees of Marine Transport were happy to be part of the Trucking for Sarcoma event this year and have provided our community with a great avenue to spread the word about Sarcoma and especially GIST.

In addition to spreading the word about GIST to the public, the Trucking for Sarcoma event has raised over $35,000!!!
