On October 27 Siteman Cancer Center and St. Louis GIST Foundation will be hosting a free education and support program for patients and their caregivers.  Light breakfast and lunch provided.

Topics will include:

  • Treatment updates, research and Late Term Management of GIST
    presented by Dr. Joel Picus, MD, Associate Professor of Medicine, Medical Oncologist,
     Washington University of Medicine
  • Surgical Interventions for GIST
    presented by Dr. Brent Matthews, MD FACS, Hepatobiliary Surgeon, Washington University School of Medicine
  • Involvement of Genetics in the Development of Cancer
    presented by Dr. Allison Wheln, MD, FACP, Professor of Medicine, Medical Geneticist, Washington University School of Medicine
  • Surviving GIST
    presented by Becky Harper, GIST Survivor, Kansas City, MO
