AUY922 is a synthetic Hsp90 inhibitor. It is not related to the natural products geldanamycin (as is IPI504) or radicicol. This drug is under development by Novartis.

A Phase I-II trial is open, as described at clinicaltrials.gov. The Phase I portion of the trial is open to patients with several types of cancer, including GIST. The Phase II portion will be limited to breast cancer patients.
