"Girl in a Closet" Oil on Canvas

This painting depicts myself after being diagnosed with gist and having surgery. I felt as if I was in a closet and all the demons were trying to get in. I was trying really hard to keep them out. Then I realized the only way to be safe was to come out and face my demons. Ellen Mayer
