GIST 201: The Pathology of GIST

ALEXANDER LAZAR: Dr. Lazar is Professor of Pathology & Translational Molecular Pathology at MD Anderson Cancer Center Selective Pathology Fellowship Training Program. He also is Director of the Selective Pathology Fellowship Training Program. Dr. Lazar earned his MD and PhD in Pharmacology at the University of Texas Southwestern Graduate School in Dallas. He serves as a member of the GIST Section of the College of American Pathologists. He has assisted in and presented at numerous GIST Summits, and he is also a co-author of GSI’s publication: “Understanding your GIST Pathology Report.” Dr. Lazar’s topic for today is “GIST 201: The Pathology of GIST.”
